  1. What about using the Wednesday time that is opposite IF/IR since it is mostly blocked out for students anyway due to being registered for those.
  2. Note the tension between encouraging students to be involved in other things and the scheduling difficulties that creates.
  3. In the alternatives of starting all Friday events at 9 (whether they are 1, 2, or 3 hours) vs. starting at 9, 10, or 11 and going to 12 we might recognize the advantage of routine (always starting at 9 with bagels, say), but also the contrary advantage of not starting any earlier on a Friday than necessary.
  4. "Mandatory" has a negative ring to it.
  5. What about thinking in terms of attending some percentage, such as 70%, instead of all?
